- Always want to go ¼ to ½ shade darker on your eyes and lips to make them stand out in pictures
- Always use matte products – you’re not a sparkle princess
- Tight line top eye lid with brown, making line slightly thicker in the centre
- Only ½ line the bottom eye lid
- Curl your eyelashes to open and brighten them
- Trim runaway eyebrow hairs
- DO NOT use a razor or shaving cream with a moisturizer in it
- Shave, wash face with cold water, blot dry
- Moisturize (can put it in the fridge so it’s nice and cool to apply) and wait 20 minutes before beginning makeup
- Use a light, UNfragranced moisturizer
- Makeup removal should not be violent – gently lads, gently.
- If you have any exposed skin – arms, legs, if your character is shirtless – highlight and contour your body too
- Define muscles etc., enhance them, fake them – if you don’t, you’ll be an awesome face on a skin coloured blob
- If your character has facial hair and you can grow a “starter beard” do it then add length with crepe hair
Any guys new to makeup or want to try but don’t know where to start?
