Upon successful completion of Pandaren Pants 2.0, I decided to celebrate by sewing Vest 2.0.
Sewing went quite well up until I came to the step where I sew the two front panels to the back panel. One side fit beautifully, but the other side was … inside out.
Clearly, I learned nothing from Pants 2.0.
The worst part is, I disassembled the inside out pieces and promptly repined it…inside out. Twice.
I wish I had an excuse, but I honestly have no idea why I was repeatedly foiled by these two pieces. Eventually I got it pinned correctly, and completed the vest. Even though it was a bit of a struggle, the vest is symmetrical this time! I’m extremely pleased and I’m going to celebrate Vest 2.0 success by adding the light grey trim to the pants and vest!
As expected, trim pinning took quite a while – but not as long as it took the first time! Unfortunately, I still managed to pin the front trim “backwards” and had to repin and re-iron before pinning it to the vest. Sigh.
Here’s the finished vest and pants, complete with trim!

On to the bits and bobs like knee pads, endow pads, front closure clasps on the vest, ears, and the wig!
