This past Labour Day weekend was FanExpo 2016!
They had a sensational line-up of guests (check them out here!) I was fortunate enough to do everything I wanted to including all the panels I wanted to see (except Mark Hamill ’cause his line was incredibly long, and Lit Soong and I were knackered by the end of the day Sunday).
We also cosplayed all four days – a first for us, as we usually only dress up three of the four days. This year, I was the Red Queen Thursday and Sunday, Lady Tsunade (Naruto) Friday, and a Panderen Monk on Saturday. Literature Soong was Nightcrawler on Thursday, The First Hokage (Naruto) on Friday, a Star Trek Red Shirt on Saturday, and Data (Star Trek) on Sunday.
The highlight of my weekend was meeting Charles Martinet who is the voice of Mario! I went to his Q&A on Friday, and was fortunate enough to get his autograph on Saturday!
On Friday we also got to see Stan Lee at his last Canadian appearance!
Saturday, we saw Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston and Michelle Gomez (Doctor Who), as well as the legendary William Shatner!
Saturday, we saw Kate Mulgrew (Star Trek Voyager; Orange Is The New Black), and the funniest panel of the entire weekend – John Barrowman (Doctor Who; Torchwood)!
Sunday, we saw Daredevil’s Charlie Cox and Elden Henson, and we had incredible seats for the incomparable George Tekai!
