This year looks like it could be one of our busiest convention years ever! Schedules permitting, Literature Soong and I may be able to attend 4 conventions this year! First will be Toronto ComicCon from March 17-19, next will be CostumeCon35 from April 20-24, then Ottawa ComicCon May 12-14, and lastly Fan Expo on Labour Day weekend (August 31 – September 3).
I’m especially excited to go to CostumeCon35 – it’s a travelling convention that moves around the world and it’s been in Canada twice in the last 4 years. I was fortunate enough to be able to go to CostumeCon32, and it really got me fired up to make some cosplay stuff!
I didn’t cosplay 4 years ago, but I plan to this time. Naturally, I’ll be wearing my two Red Queen dresses
(Lit Soong got me the ‘Through The Looking Glass’ dress for Christmas!)
I’d like to wear my Pandaren Monk costume as it’s the first thing I successfully
sewed myself, and I’ll probably wear my Lady Tsunade costume as well.
I’m super excited to see what panels and workshops there will be this year. I attended 12 panels and two workshops last time, and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to do even more this time!
Are you going to CostumeCon 35?
What are you looking forward to most?
Will you be competing in any of the contests or masquerades?
It Takes A Village to Cosplay!
